Kilkee
|
Situated in County Clare on the West Coast of Ireland. The old Irish name for the long triangular peninsula stretching to Loop Head and forming the northern boundary of the estuary of the River Shannon is 'Corca Baiscinn'. About mid-way on the Atlantic shore on this peninsula is Kilkee. It is situated on Moore Bay, a bay of horse-show shape. The splendid reef known as Duggerna Rocks guards the entrance to this bay. Kilkee is a fisherman's paradise. The shore fishing and rock fishing are incomparable and crewed boats are available for hire for deep-sea fishing. Kilkee also boasts an impressive golf course on Georges Head, and Pitch and Putt over on the west end, couple that with some of the most scenic walks in Ireland and throw in the nightlife and safe beach, and you have paradise......... |
In all weather there are lots of things to do in Kilkee
